Purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the quality of printed and electronic reference services based on the opinions of M.A students of Alzahra University.
Methodology: This research is an analytical survey. 327 subjects were randomly chosen using the Krejcie and Morgan’ table. Data were gathered using a researcher-made questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS software.
Findings: Providing electronic services, printed materials and human resources were 82/65, 76/46 and 67/38 percent. Answering basic questions via electronic databases 92/3 percent, understanding and recognition of reference needs of 88/9 percent, teaching the access and usage of electronic information is 85/7 which are the most important parameters. The findings showed that more than 70 percent of the students believe 22 out of 26 factors of this research are very important, meaning that the aforementioned factors of this research are considerably important.
Conclusion: The results shows a significant and meaningful relationship between the physical facilities available in the library’s printed reference services, the provision of electronic services, and other facilities available in libraries.
